Keith and Jennie invite you to relax and unwind in our charming Cottage, offering a warm, quiet, friendly atmosphere, with a high standard of accommodation in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Come and relax in the comfortable lounges, where you will find lots of good reading matter and all relevant local information. On sunny days you might like to sit in the gardens or on the patio, absorbing the tranquility of the wonderful scenery or just doze on cooler evenings in front of a cozy fire.

Our Breakfast is a full traditional grill, or vegetarian, just as you wish. As experienced proprietors, we know the importance of an enjoyable meal to round off the day. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and special diets. We have a residential license, and our small wine list features a personal selection from around the world. A selection of teas or coffee will be served in the lounge after your meal.

What to do ....
Walking, horse-riding, canoeing, golfing, caving and climbing, are just some of the local activities which, along with other attractions, are to be found here. If required, we can supply packed lunches.

Symonds Yat is also an ideal base for touring the upper and lower Wye Valley area, Royal Forest of Dean, Black mountains, the Beacons, and the cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester, and Worcester.

How to Find Us ....*
A40 from Monmouth passing the Symonds Yat Services turn left into the village of Whitchurch.Turn left over A40 via bridge sign posted Symonds Yat West. Roundabout 2nd exit,school on left.*Old Court Hotel on right.Follow road round right hand bend (amusement park ahead) Follow road passing Wye Knot Inn. Look for the Paddocks Hotel sign.Road forks,keep right, The Walnut Tree Cottage is on your right hand side. Please drive past for approx 200 metres to Meekswell Lane, turn and approach the cottage from the opposite direction, steep drive.The view is well worth it!!!

Approaching from Ross 0n Wye
Approx 5miles out of Ross,pass the Little Chef look for Symonds Yat WEST, Leisure Park sign. Turn left, Fire Station on right hand side.Over roundabout,school on left.
